Hurricane Screens Fort Myers — MagnaTrack Defender Storm System
Fort Myers’ storm season can strike without warning. With MagnaTrack hurricane screens installed by Sharkey’s Aluminum, you get storm-rated, motorized retractable protection that meets or exceeds Florida and Miami-Dade building codes — all while maintaining airflow, visibility and curb appeal.
Why Choose MagnaTrack for Hurricane Protection
Our hurricane screens use the patented MagnaTrack system — a dual-magnetic track technology that outperforms traditional roll-down shutters or zipper-track screens.
-Certified Storm Performance
MagnaTrack’s Defender Storm System meets the strictest standards for hurricane zones: TAS 201/203, ASTM E330, E1886 & E1996, Florida Product Approval #FL30798, with design pressure up to ±200 PSF. Spans up to 30 feet are certified.
-Cat-5 Wind & Debris Protection
These screens are engineered not only to resist hurricane-force winds but also to absorb heavy debris impact. MagnaTrack’s magnetic interlock keeps screens locked and taut under load — reducing risk of failure during extreme weather.
-No Zippers, No Jams, No Stress
Traditional zipper-track retractable screens often jam, sag, or tear under stress. MagnaTrack eliminates those issues with a self-tensioning magnetic system — studies show it removes 98% of common service problems associated with older designs.
-Easy Deployment, Motorized & Smart-Home Ready
Lower or raise your screens with a button. Full motorized control — including optional smart-home integrations and remote control — means you can secure your home quickly when a storm approaches, even if you’re away.
Added Year-Round Benefits Beyond Storm Protection
MagnaTrack hurricane screens don’t just help during hurricane season. They add daily value to your outdoor living space:
Insect & Pest Protection — keep bugs out while still enjoying breeze and visibility.
Sun, Glare, and UV Shade — reduce heat gain and UV exposure on lanais, patios, and porches.
Privacy & Wind Control — add discretion and block harsh winds without sacrificing airflow or aesthetics.
Cleaner Outdoor Spaces — protect outdoor furniture, kitchens, and patios from windblown debris, rain, and dirt.
This means your investment works 365 days a year, not just when storms loom.
